KNUST Faculty of Law Holds Third Induction and Awards Ceremony

The Faculty of Law at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, has inducted two hundred (200) newly admitted Bachelor of Law Students into the Faculty during its 3rd LLB Induction and Award Ceremony on Wednesday, 14th February 2024 at the Faculty of Law Auditorium.

Addressing the newly enrolled students, Professor (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson, the Vice-Chancellor and Chairperson for the ceremony, emphasised the significance of the induction as an occasion to inculcate in the newly admitted students the pursuit for excellence in legal education and profession.

She highlighted the importance of empowering students not only as legal professionals but also as compassionate advocates for justice and equality. She advised the students to embrace challenges, appreciate lessons, and take advantage of the opportunities available at KNUST.

Professor Dickson encouraged the students to strive for excellence and work collaboratively with faculty members for success. “As a University, we continue to be very proud of the achievements of the staff and students of this faculty. Notable achievements include the recent award of the John Mensah Sarbah Award to its alumnus, in the person of Ebenezer Addai Osei, Esq. as well as other individual awards won by our alumni during the 2023 call to the bar. You have made a very smart choice to be trained here,” she said.
