The College of Humanities and Social Sciences welcomes international students from across Africa and beyond into its three faculties: the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Faculty of Law, and the KNUST School of Business. Our location in Kumasi, the cultural heart of Ghana, offers international students an immersive experience in West African history, governance, business, and traditional institutions alongside rigorous academic training.
International students may apply to any of the College's undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Applications are processed centrally through the KNUST Admissions Portal, and prospective international students should visit the KNUST International Students page for full guidance on entry requirements, application fees, and payment instructions. Applicants from non-Anglophone countries are required to provide proof of English language proficiency.
The International Programmes Office (IPO) coordinates orientation, accommodation, and welfare for all international students at KNUST. Within the College, international students are supported through assigned academic mentors and have access to the College's library facilities, counselling services, and student associations.
