CoHSS Students' Association
The CoHSS Students' Association is the College-level student representative body of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi (KNUST). The Association provides a platform for student leadership, welfare advocacy, communication, and active participation in College activities.
The Association works with the College administration, the three Faculty-level student associations (Law, Social Sciences, and the School of Business), departmental associations, and the wider student body to promote student development and strengthen student engagement across the College. Flagship programmes include the annual CoHSS Unity Summit, which brings together the three Faculty Presidents and the fourteen Department Presidents to plan shared initiatives.
Role of the Association
The CoHSS Students' Association supports students by:
- Representing student interests at the College level
- Promoting communication between students and College authorities
- Supporting orientation and welfare engagement
- Coordinating activities across the three Faculty associations and fourteen Departmental associations
Student Leadership
The Association is led by elected student executives who coordinate student activities and represent the interests of students within the College. The leadership includes positions such as President, Vice President, General Secretary, Women Commissioner, Financial Secretary, and Organising Secretary.
