MANAGEMENT OF KNUST CONGRATULATES TWO COHSS RESEARCHERS

Management of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), on February 17th, 2022, congratulated two researchers, Prof. Nathaniel Boso and Dr. Gift Dumedah of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, KNUST,  Kumasi. The Management in a congratulatory message indicated that the University has recognised their outstanding performance in the AD Scientific Index World Scientist and University Ranking published in February 2022.

The AD Scientific Index ranks individual scientists across the world based on their scientific performance and productivity. The ranking focuses on the h-index, the i10-index, and citations scores of scientist in Google Scholar over a five year period. The h-index is an author-level metric used to measure a researcher’s productivity and citation impact and the i10-index measures the number of publications with at least 10 citations.

Prof. Nathaniel Boso, Dean of the School of Business was ranked the 15th best scientist in KNUST and 64th best scientist in Ghana whilst Dr. Gift Dumedah, a lecturer in the Department of Geography and Rural Development was ranked 41st best scientist in KNUST and 177th best scientist in Ghana.

Management has entreated the two to encourage and mentor other researchers to increase their research productivity and visibility across a wide range of platforms.
