CoHSS Welcomes Ho Technical University Quality Assurance Delegation

CoHSS Welcomes Ho Technical University

As part of the ongoing five-day quality assurance exchange program between KNUST and Ho Technical University (HTU), the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (COHSS) hosted the HTU delegation at the college-level Quality Assurance Office.

The HTU team, led by Dr. Edward Kwame Ayimey, Director of Planning and Quality Assurance, visited COHSS to explore college-specific quality assurance practices and learn about our decentralized approach to maintaining academic excellence. The delegation was warmly received by the College Registrar and the COHSS Quality Assurance team.

During the visit to the college, the HTU representatives gained insights into how quality assurance is implemented at the college level, complementing their broader exposure to KNUST's institutional systems through the central Quality Assurance and Planning Office (QAPO).

The meeting with Mr. Ebenezer Tettey Otieku, College Registrar, Professor Esmeranda Manful, Head of Department for Sociology and Social Work, and other COHSS staff members provided an opportunity to discuss college-specific challenges and innovations in quality management, student services, and academic administration. The HTU team showed particular interest in the college's approaches to program evaluation, student feedback systems, and faculty development initiatives.

The delegation expressed interest in understanding how quality assurance principles are practically applied across different academic disciplines within the college structure.
