The College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CoHSS) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi (KNUST) has retained the overall championship title at the 2025/2026 Inter-College Games, claiming 13 trophies across a wide range of disciplines.

The college won in hockey (women), handball (men and women), netball (men and women), badminton (men), volleyball (men and women), and three athletics trophies, in addition to the overall champions award.

Dr. Bernard Ampong of the Department of Language and Communication Studies, who led the team, joined the College Students' Vice President, Festus Sarkodie, and a delegation of student athletes to present the trophies to the Provost of CoHSS, Professor Charles Ofosu Marfo. The provost congratulated the team on the achievement.

The win follows CoHSS's victory at the 2025 edition of the games, where the college claimed 11 trophies to take the overall title. This year's haul of 13 marks an improvement on that performance and reinforces the college's standing in inter-college competition at KNUST.

The Inter-College Games is an annual competition that brings together male and female teams from all KNUST colleges across ten disciplines, including football, volleyball, basketball, hockey, netball, handball, table tennis, lawn tennis, badminton and goalball. The tournament forms part of the university's broader effort to integrate new students into campus life through structured sporting competition.
